In the Meantime..

So here's a list to get you / me going to end 2013 nicely and before i have anything substantial to write. Some places I've been and quite liked:

and pls give me some suggestions so i have a nice and full agenda =)

Fancy Food Spots:

fancy bar for a nice date, relatively pricey but a good night out, very delicious food and a very nice bar upstairs. (save room for dessert), book in advance fills up fast

same owner as social eating house, smaller place with more affordable ££ with a speak-easy feel

amazing view from heron tower, good flow, nice buzzy place, book in advance (brunch is amazing too)

fancy fancy delicious food with an outstanding vegetarian menu, very nice setting with an amazing dessert bar

similar feel to pollen st social, nice cuisine with good game meat selection for mains

Japanese / Mexican fusion? Some nice dishes, some combinations are a bit.. interesting but worth taking a date!

various room, different feel / purpose, all very fancy, date place for sure, nice and expensive cocktails, oh and take your camera to the toilet with you, the design is so cool

another spot for nice slow cooked meat dishes, and amazing sorbets

really fancy spot just in the St. Pancras hotel with amazing food and classy crowd (save room for dessert)

somewhere to go if you want to feel nice and posh for just a bit =) green park

Casual bites

its sort of like a tapas place, there’s a special chefs table as well, interesting dishes

they have a pizza section and a counter section for pastries and sweets, almost always have to que but worth the wait if you want some fresh Italian food!

wasn’t the biggest fan of their pizza but the bar is worth stopping in for

same owner as the garrison, right on bermondsey st. very good food and not too ££

yummy food with an interesting menu, great for brunch, bermonsey st

same owner as the above two, food is more British than others, a bit heavy for my taste but worth a try

tapas bar on bermondsey st  =), a tad pricey but nice to stop in after work

just here! sunday roast =)

the pistachio ice cream is like zomg so good, ill eat it any day even if its freezing out!

Diners / Joints

nice old school diner, there's also cinema that's really cool, selection of showings aren’t great though

same owner as meat & liquor, less crowded, still yummy

well obviously

really, really yummy burgers

Bars / coffee shops

cool buzzy bar, has live music so look it up for tickets in advance, haven’t tried the food

this place is cool you can bring your own alcohol and they mix it for you

more of a bar than a restaurant just in the st. pancreas hotel, which used to be a booking office of the train station (I think), live music

live jazz music, amazing selection of spirits, somewhere to sit for a while to enjoy the crowd

Brunch Spots

classic spot for some hearty healthy breakfast (or all day meals really), many locations but sometimes still have to que!

famous one, American breakfast (can’t go wrong with that), no reservations, have to que (10-30+mins) everytime

Bombay fusion foods, interesting dishes with a twist and many spices! (yummy chai)

very nice place for a brunch date

breakfast buffet, it’s a bit pricey so make sure you go like really hungry and drink all the champagne, and then got nothing to do rest of the day

Asian

soho - nicer place to have Vietnamese food, very yummy and fresh ingredients, portions quite large

tottenham court road - Koba Korean food, pretty authentic, nice setting and gets quite loud (as Korean restaurants should!)

holborn - good place for soju / sake bombs and good BBQ!!

covent garden – decent thai food, always my go to place if I want to grab some yummy green curry

soho - que is usually a bit longer here, very yummy as well with nicer décor

soho – more thai than anything, go for the randeng beef / pad thai, nice fresh fruit juices

Chinatown / soho – Japanese yakitori spot, loud, buzzy, meat on skewers, that sorta deal

authentic ramen spot =)

not as authentic as cay tre but still decent hot pho on a cold day

fancier thai spot with more delicate food choices

no website, my favourite spot for some authentic Japanese homemade food, katsu curry, chicken teriyaki, udon, super cheap can’t go wrong
